I have a 104 missing the rear sight. Are they available, or do I need to make one? Uh... what do they look like?

I may be wrong cause I do not own one, but I do not believe it has a rear sight. Just two bumps on the receiver stock end... see pictures and parts list below.

Now that's interesting. Mine is not a double barrel. Sure looks like "model 104 Reg. No. J988933".

Might be a 102? Post a picture so we can identify it for you...

There are several versions of the single barrel model 104. They're the same size as the 102, and most would think that's what they were. They were made in the 1960s and 1970s.
The 104 has a mount that's spot welded onto the top of the receiver, made to accept a tube rear sight. The tube sight has no magnification. Less common is the same mount with an open sight attached- although this may have been done by someone who either didn't care for the tube sight, or the tube sight was missing, which is a VERY common thing. Most 104s were gold, some with a sticker on the stock saying "Golden Eagle", but a few were Daisy blue with the tube sight. These were called the "Scope Scout". I have photos of two 104s that have a decals saying "Thunderbird", but there's some disagreement whether these are authentic. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good one Mark!!! I forgot about that 104... More than likely that is what 10Thumbs has. The scope is what he is missing or could replace the spring anchor with the rear site version (45) as shown . Also note all the internal parts are 102 referenced....
