In good condition I'd say about $40 give or take. There has been one on AA classifieds for a month or more. He's asking $45. Guess that's pushing the envelope.

It is a cool looking gun. Interesting underlever cocking as well for a BB gun. I've had underlever cocking pellet pistols. (cheap Chinese plinkers) They were alot harder to cock than the D188. In fact the early 188's took pellets and BB's. I had one a few years back. I couldn't get it to shoot straight. Daisy changed the design to BB only pretty quick. This pistol shoots BB's pretty weak. The .177 pellets probably dropped 3 inches at ten feet and made about 120 fps. LOL
Problem with the 188 is that it's not a good shooter and it isn't collectible either. That may change. Who knows. It may strike a nerve someday.
Look at the D 179. That's not a good shooter, Daisy made several dozen million of them and they are still commanding real money.  That little pistol struck a nerve.

I agree , I had the urge to get one for some reason and then it seems that they were with every lot of guns you would get , now that I got rid of all of them I looked up the model again and there were a bunch and some people were asking up to $45.00 and $55.00 but as far as I know none sold I really think if you like it and are happy shooting it , I would just keep it , kind of like me and the metal Marksman BB/Pellet / Dart pistols , I have 4 of them now and I like them and know what and how to shoot them but as far as selling them to make some money -won't happen , you just have to have had some relationship with them when you were a kid .

Also had a Marksman as a kid.Loved that gun . Never failed to shoot. Used to save my paper route money just to buy the darts.

My Buddy in HS back in the 70's had a Marksman pistol. I envied him. It shot real good (to me as a kid back then). They are another one of those guns that just don't click with lots of folk. I had a first variant NIB with darts and BB's.....1955. 100% metal... always were, I think. Managed to get $50 for it. Funny what turns folk on. The Cr 700 is another one. I really like that gun. Cool rotating breech and shoots pretty good.  Try to get $100 for a beautiful 700. Tough sell.

Yes I just about bid on a 700 ( before I had to start getting rid of some of my babies ) awhile back and it was at $75.00 and I figured a steal and what a pretty rifle , I let it pass but I am at a loss why such an obviously well made rifle wouldn't be in the $200.00 range , when I researched it - there were fans and then some that had bad luck with them - bad maintenance ? . I still think they look good and if I could sneak one in the door I think I would seriously be inclined .

They can be finicky with pellets cuz of the rotating breach. I've had a few and they all held well with no work on my part. Maybe it was maintenance. I passed them on cuz I try not to collect and I prefer my little 180 for Co2 rifle shooting.
