Steve's boyhood gun. That's classic!

I like the one piece lever. I had to add the loop on a regular lever. Was lucky to retain the loading port by cutting a section out of the middle of the barrel and joining the ends together. I'd post a picture but I'm pictorially challenged.

Having a loading port would really be handy. I don't shoot this much and just keep it loaded and use the tie to keep anyone from 'playing' with it.
This one came with a regular lever and swapped this one off of another Red Ryder I picked up. Not sure who made it.

Burgh Dude was nice enough to offer to post a pic or two of mine. I'll try to get them to him this evening.

Someday I'll have to learn how to do it.

Thanks Vince. Nice job.

As you can see, I used tiny #4 bolts to attach the loop. Since then I've been using steel pins pressure fit into pilot holes and the ends capped with adhesive for a flush fit. Both work but I like the looks of the latter.

BB guns may not work on zombies, but with a gun like this I'm ready for the chipmunk apocalypse!!

That looks great, good job of improvising and using other parts to make it happen.
I am amazed at the things people on this forum can do.

Those are great, what is the ring behind the front sight?

The ring behind the front sight is a collar to join the front of the barrel with the rear. I cut a section out of the barrel to make it shorter. On another project I used an inner collar so it would not be visible. If I ever do another Mare's Leg I'll probably use an inner collar.

The loop was made from a piece of plastic drain pipe. I plan on doing some experimenting to change the shape/size of the loop for more versatility.
