Hello!
This is my second post, I want to hear about a seasoned Daisy owner about this issue.
Two days ago, I bought a cardboard box of Daisy zinc plated BBs. The ones that say Ultra-smooth and premium quality. Thing is, they appear to be all rough. Some of them don't even reflect any almost any light.
I think this corrosion is caused because of the packaging, being much more exposed to the elements.
This caught my attention because I bought a non-plated Gamo BB pack before this one, and the Gamo BBs appear to be much smoother and shiny.

See for yourselves:

Will my gun be damaged if I use these BBs, and can something be done to make up for their roughness?

Short answer: I would not use them (at least not in a gun I cared about). There’s a chance one could get stuck, they won’t be very accurate, and bb’s are cheap. A 6,000 pack only costs about 12 bucks where I live (@ 5 shots for a penny, the only thing cheaper to shoot is a water pistol).

Jorge, this might be a little outside the box but since the dulling is likely caused by oxidation, you can try using a cartridge tumbler, if available.   Use a soft agrigate because wearing away the zinc poses 2 problems. 1-smaller diameter and 2-rust build-up.   Good luck. 👍
