I put new seals in an older model 880. The gun pumped up, built pressure, and shot well. After sitting overnight it would pump with some resistance and not really build pressure. I have taken it apart a few times and everything seems fine. Now it seems to randomly work and not work in terms of building pressure. I used a light coat of Pellgun oil for the assembly. I am thinking maybe there is an issue with the exhaust valve but that is just a guess.
Hopefully, I explained that well enough. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated.

Are you hearing any leaks? Did you change out the chamber seal too? Definitely could be the exhaust valve and its oring. Id make sure all seals are new and slap in a new exhaust valve as well.

I do not hear any leaks. I did replace the chamber seal and the exhaust valve O-Ring. I am thinking I will take the exhaust valve apart again and clean it really well. If I still have the problem will likely just buy a new exhaust valve assembly.

Exhaust valve leaks through the shot tube. As a kid, you ever put spit on a bike valve stem to see if it's leaking? Same thing works here.
Intake valve leak will push the pump lever open if it's not latched down. G'luck!

If you're not getting push back on your pump arm which generally indicates a bad chamber seal, im thinking your exhaust valve is bad. Give that exhaust valve oring a good pellgun oil coating while youre back in there. Good luck. Itll feel good when ya figure it out!

I plan on looking into the exhaust valve when I get back next week. Now when I take it apart to clean does it require a light coat of oil or should it be dry assembled?

Use pellgun oil on the seals.
