   I just picked up a Daisy 856 that has a gold eagle head and the word EAGLE in gold on the right side of the reciever.

It is in really nice shape and shoots good.

What little I know about airguns ends about 1965.

I found a couple of 856's on line but they didn't have the eagle on them.

Is this a desireable variation or just one of thousands of others they pumped out?

They seem to have quite a few current variations of the 856.

I am not sure if I should keep it or use it for trade on a vintage airgun someone keeps to chase the squirrels away.
