Today I received (at auction cost of six dollars and thirty cents+++ $6.30 after competing with 6 other bids!!!!) a Daisy-Heddon Model 102, Register No L938174, Patent No 2,758,586, mfg at Rogers, Arkansas; it came to me from Guthre, Oklahoma. It is a beautiful little air rifle, plastic stock, cap type shot tube with feed port aft of the front sight blade on top of barrel shroud. POINT of INTEREST is the metal surfaces, including the cocking lever, is factory-painted blue, the same color as my Daisy Model 110 Air Force Rocket Command.
I have not seen any other specimen painted this color, and wonder if anyone has any information pertaining to this discovery. |
