Does anyone know what size piston the 225 uses? This is the one that looks like a No. 25, except it loads through a door in the barrel shroud like the model 1938B Red ryder. It also uses a "non removable" shot tube that cannot be unscrewed.

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Mark, here's an educated guess. Without a "step-down" barrel configuration, I'm inclined to believe it has the same piston as the model 25. That is to say the smaller one compared to the 1938B which has the larger one. Even though the shot tube is non removable. But as I said this is my guess.

Mark I can tell you that the OD of the barrel on my 225 is the same as the OD of the barrel on a 25 if that helps.

Thanks, Ron- much appreciated! And It does make sense when I think about it. I mean, it's not like Daisy would retool for a larger diameter seal when they have used the same diameter since forever! One of my better  moments!

Gee Mark, I thought mine was the only life filled with "Simpson" moments.
