    Posted: June-02-2010 at 1:07pm

I cleaned out my garage and located a long lost item a second time!

Does anyone have an idea what it may be worth and is anyone interested.

It is rusty I put WD40 on it but refrain from doing anything else.

Daisy MFG Co, Plymouth MI

Daisy No 25 BB Rifle Lever Action, wood stock with serrations in butt
Pat No 1,097,244 - 1,114,491 - 1,136,470 - 1,220,649 - 1,573,383

Unable to locate last Patent No on web.

Daisy No 300 Telescope Sight, adjustable elevation (18 inches long)
Pat No 2,155,391

Hard to read the information - I did not want to move the rust or cause damage.

Thank you the help.

I think you got the last two patent numbers wrong:

they are probably

1,220,649
1,573,383

If the gun is operable, that is, shoots BBs with force, and with the Model 300 scope, it should command a pretty good price.  I think your specimen is what is known as a "1936" but could have been made between 1936-45 or l945-52.

Quoting prices here is something of a problem; you can plug in to www.GunBroker.com or www.AuctionArms.com and check out what is going on there.  To save time, while at GunBroker web page, click on AirGuns, then AirRifles, then type in Daisy in the Search block and all of the Daisy AirRifles will be displayed.

Thank you for the information.

I completed the photo link above.

If no one is interested in this I will hang it in my barn for all to see.

That will bring a lot of interest about the ol Days when we were kids in Plymouth, MI.

I like the way the stock has been 'dressed.'

I'm not sure any stock can beat a model H Daisy I had once that said "Hercules Blasting Caps" emblazoned on the side!!!Cool
Someone made a new stock for it out of an old crate, undoubtedly after the original one got broke.

I'm not buying anymore BB Guns.

I'm not buying any less either.

It was very interesting looking up all the data and reading the patents.

Now I will have to collect all my rifles in one place and then part them out on Ebay.

I listed the scope on Friday - it will be interesting to see what happens.

Unless you really are selling them as parts that is the only way Ebay will take them, inclding air rifles.

David H:  :)  those are the best kinds of stocks!   I have an old Daisy Model 102 with a beat up, carved up old wooden stock that I treasure.

When I first started collecting a little over 25 years ago I ended up with lots of guns like these. I would buy about any pre WW2 BB gun I could afford. After about 5 years I decided to "upgrade" and started swapping them off for higher condition models. Right now my collection is in about in as high a condition as I will ever get it. However sometimes it seems that they just don't have as much "character" as those well played with guns. My biggest regrets are 2 guns. The Mdl H Hercules  "hybrid" and a model 1900 Heilprin that someone meticulously scroll "engraved" the borders of the stock! I guess the stock was just to plain to match that fancy frame to suit them. I sure don't see how a child could have done it though.

So, in a way, you are right Willy.
