Hi,

I am looking for the rear attachment to the stock for a Daisy No. 300 scope.

I know this is almost impossible to find, but I have seen wonders accomplished here, so I am trying.

I will also consider a report.

Thank you, regards, gkenny.

I bought mine from Duane Shaferly.  His phone number is 419-435-7909.  If memory serves he had rear mounts for both the 25 (with the rear tang) and the 111-04 (without the tang).  They weren't cheap, but they were first rate.

Thank you BurghDude, I just contacted him and he has them for $35. He is a nice guy.

I will have to think on that a bit, not that the work he does, doesn't deserve the price, just that I want an original if at all possible.

Thanks and regards, gkenny.

gkenny,

Duane is indeed a gentleman and I will assure you that you absolutely can not tell the difference between his mount and an original.  I too am very particular about keeping everything original, however, this was an exception.  I was extremely pleased with the mount I received from him.  Just my two cents.  Good Luck!

I can second Iceman, and will also add that I've never seen an original mount for sale anywhere on the web.  And if someone did list one as "original", I don't know how you'd really be sure it was, and not just another repro!  If you can't say that you know what to look for (personally, I don't), you might be no better off.  My 2 cents as well! :)

Best of luck!

Thank you Iceman, it always helps a decision to be made when you have an endorsement as honest as yours.

Regards, gkenny.
