Hi, I recently found a Daisy Power Line Model 45 CO2 in great condition but with a missing part. The small piece just above the trigger known as a slide stop on a real 1911 pistol, is missing.

The part is plastic and non-functional on this gun, but I would like to find another part somewhere.

Has anyone any ideas as to where I can find one or even make one?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Regards, gkenny.

Gkenny, I'm not familiar with this particular gun so, is there a hole for the lever to secure into?   On a real 1911 this is an integral part of the assembly.   I can't say if a slide catch from an authentic firearm would fit but since your's is nonfunctional perhaps you could adapt one just to complete the look.

Another (maybe more desperate) idea is to carve one from a popsicle stick or some other small piece of wood, paint it black and glue it in place.

Other bb gun brands have similar designs so maybe you can keep an eye out for adaptable parts.

The drawing for the 45 doesn't show the slide stop as a separate part.
