Greetings,
I'm settling up my fathers estate and I have come across the following; Daisy Red Ryder Carbine No 111-Model40 Wood Stock, Plastic forearm, front sight band peened, Top stock Screw has large screw, rear sight fixed on receiver, logo burned into left side, cocking lever made from aluminum as it is not magnetic. There is a loading tube for the BB's i guess but no cap on it. The bore on the end of the rifle is huge (3/4")

Conrad, from your description of the end the barrel, the gun is missing the shot tube.

Hi and welcome.
I'm guessing that if the tube has no cap and the so called bore is large, your father's RedRyder is missing the shot tube assembly. The cap on the end of the shot tube would have a piece that would cover the loading tube. These are nice old guns but can't be used without the shot tube. ![]() |
