   I've been told eBay monitors the correspondence thru its "contact the
seller" emails.  But if the auction is shut down, they should have
no concerns about "fee avoindance",  as it cannot be sold on eBay.

I know some folks know the rules and try to sell anyway.  They go
to great lengths of painting or putting orange tape on the end of the
barrel, and then failing to mention anything about BBs, pellets, or
calibre. Some are so cryptic, it's hard to figure out what they have!
  Some are even decribed as "pop guns".    

"I cocked it, shot it, and it popped fine !! "
