Is this Daisy restored? Seller claims it's original. I have a hard time believing a Daisy this old ever looked that good even when brand in the teens.

I cannot answer as I am not familiar with many of the Daisy guns, however for anyone to answer it would help if you could post a link to the auction and or pictures.

Agreed Cobalt, that would take some time consuming polishing, something an assembly line wouldn't be bothered with.

I believe it to be original. i have one in similar condition that is original that I bought froma  collector in Ohio.

at over a century old jmho the metal finish is too nice not to have been polished or redone -

If you buy it as re-nickeled and you find out it is not you will be very happy!  The other way around, not so much.   From the photos  it looks re done.  Left side of frame looks like it was nickeled over pits.

Bottom line hard to tell from poor photos.
