In my opinion......the price is low. It should be more like $700. I don't know where these guys get info on the prices of model 104's because, The last 4 model 104's I have bid on and seen sell at auction have sold for $1500+.
These model 21's empty boxes alone sell for $500-$700. Maybe not here, from the looks of it, like everyone else, these guys are trying to get a nice gun for the price of one in less than ok condition.
A model 21 in just ok condition will sell for $500+. If you guys can find a model 104 for $600? or even $1000, let me know, I want 2. Like I said, the last 4 104's I have bid on at auction have sold for $1500+.
I have a nice model 21 in the box with owners manual etc and I wouldn't sell it for anything less than $1200
I have also bid on a mint never used model 21 in the box and I stopped at $1500 and it sold for over $2000 if I'm not mistaken.
I have a very nice large BB gun collection for sell that includes 2 model 21's, model 40 variant 1 complete, model 140 defender 1941-42 + about 40 others.

Hope that helps you

Thanks
D. REED

I have a model #21 in near mint but would not sell for less than $800.

Value is a funny thing....as has been said before. I think of a 95% or better D 21 being worth about $800 and a 104 in similar condition about 50% more. Boxes rarely survive so are a wild card. Value gets funnier when an auction is involved. Egos enter in. Get two guys who want to add a nice BB gun shotgun to their shotgun collection and all bets are off. They don't blink an eye at $30,000++ for a nice antique shotgun.....$1500 for a beautiful 21 is no big deal.
I don't believe folk on here value BB guns less as wishful thinking. We simply are immersed in them. Many of us have more than one of a certain model and don't "need" another one that badly. In the end, value is a function of timing......who wants it and how much they want it.
I'm not sure who is paying $1500+ for a decent 104 or $2000 for a boxed 21 but I couldn't conscience that kind of money. I know there are private sales for alot less and I have a long list of other guns I'd like to have in my collection.
All I'm for is the liberty of the individual.
