Does anyone know if Daisy made the older 1894 60s, 70s lever action with a wood stock and forearm? I have not seen one. Only the newer 2000- 2004 version was wood

I am quite sure that they did not.

Although I have never been able to confirm this, I was once told that Daisy made 1,000 1894 units with wood stock and forearm for J.C. Penny in the early 70's.

Mine are plastic too. If you see one with wood furniture, maybe it was "adapted" to repair broken parts. That's something I would do to keep it useable.

I am certainly not one of them but some people have fantastic woodworking skills.
The butt stock would be "easy". I think the forearm would be very difficult. I have seen a variety of home made stocks on double barrel 104's and 21's. Some look very good and others look very bad. If it kept the gun shooting I guess it was good. Gary

Good afternoon, I purchased a Daisy 1894 wood stock/forearm in "as new" condition with box 20 years ago. The Lot# stamped on the barrel is 3E10388. I have provided a link for photo. If interested, for additional photos of this gun please email me at angant@comcast.net Happy New Year! That's interesting. Lot number indicates a manufacturing date of either May 1983 or 1993. Your link wont open for me.
