Interesting listing on e-bay.
Fella has a Daisy "ROCKY MT ELK" WINCHESTER 1894 bb gun for sale...$500 or BIN $700.
Claims only 50 were made.
I contacted him and asked if he had papers to confirm this, and got a nasty reply.
Is this for real?
I HOPE SO !!!! I have one identical and thought I overpaid at $85.
I know there is also a Red Ryder Rocky Mt Elk at usual price.

Marv, I just looked at that listing and asked the guy why the stock is mounted up side down.

"the engraving is upside down, that is was rare, thanks"

Here's his answer when I inquired about the "funny" looking stock.
Appears to be a foreign name ??????

I searched Daisy Elk and it came up first on the list.
The stock does look like it is installed upside down.
I wonder if he got it that way?
It really looks odd like that.
I had never heard of this model and it is way to expensive for me.

Yeah looks like the stock is upside down. Don't think that makes it any more rare or easier to shoot. Better hurry though before a rookie ebayer snaps it up. Just kidding. But how could somebody put that together like that and think it looks correct? Even my wife would know something looked wrong.

I bought a plain wood stocked one at a pawn shop that had the stock upside down like that.
I 'repaired' it when I got home.
Didn't the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation do yearly dinners in lots of places where they auction these at the dinner?  Not sure if Daisy still makes them but I suspect there are LOTS of them around.

Looks like he took the hint and flipped the stock.

I sent him a note a week or so ago and confirmed his gun in that condition was the ONLY ONE in existence...and that he would have better luck if he reversed the stock and removed the statement that the "logo" was printed upside down !!!l
Also asked him to make an offer on mine...identical to his.  He offered $75...go figure !
