Hey all- just got a Daisy Model 83 and I can't find much info on it. It is in very good condition, in my opinion. Can anyone give me some info on it? What little I could find I am guessing it is a pretty rare bird.any idea as to its value?

It's very uncommon by all indications. All I have on it is what follows:

eBay auction said “1961-‘63” for years made, no idea if accurate

Looks like a 102 w/a plastic stock and forearm

Metallic dark blue paint seen on at least one example

350 bb repeater

Gravity feed removable shot tube

3 star lever

Forearm band unblued

Trigger unblued

30” long

Scope holes, one eBay example seen had a mount w/o scope

Thanks! Yes, that is what it is. This one doesn't have a scope. Otherwise, it is in very nice shape. I'll have to do some more digging on it. It works, or at least with enough pressure to blow some snow on my porch. I didn't run any BBs through it yet.

You're starting a nice collection by the sounds of it! BTW, I added some info about your 25 on the other thread.

The 25 isn't mine, unfortunately! I did manage to pick up a nice 99 a couple weeks ago, tho! Thanks for your help! I might sell the 83 if I can find out some more info on it. I like BB guns that aren't TOO rare, so I can shoot them without feeling too guilty!

FWIW the Daisy Airgun Collector's Guide says the model 83 was made in 1961. It came with a 2X scope and had a painted finish, no color specified in the Guide.
