I could see a No. 1938 being worth $100. But for me to shell out anywhere near that much the gun would have to be made in 1972 to mid 1973 because they were the closest to a 111-40. After mid '73, more and more changes were made and the further from the original they got. By 1975, I wouldn't give $100 regardless of condition. Those guns were the furthest from a 111-40, having a RH logo, phillips head screws, late style lever, and a narrow notch rear sight. Others' MMV and that's the way it should be 'cause if we all liked the same thing it would be pretty boring!
