BTW Cobalt, I'm sure I remember one of them had the logo on the left side. Same cheesy 1970's finish and pressed logo but on the left. 
You remember correctly. The LH logo stock was used from 1972 until 1975 gun number K541857. After it I haven't documented a LH logo stock.

I could see a No. 1938 being worth $100. But for me to shell out anywhere near that much the gun would have to be made in 1972 to mid 1973 because they were the closest to a 111-40. After mid '73, more and more changes were made and the further from the original they got. By 1975, I wouldn't give $100 regardless of condition. Those guns were the furthest from a 111-40, having a RH logo, phillips head screws, late style lever, and a narrow notch rear sight. Others' MMV and that's the way it should be 'cause if we all liked the same thing it would be pretty boring!
