That is amazing. ended at $2550!!!!
Winner and the only other bidder from about $1800 were not new bidders so not a shill buy.
Really nice shape but seems like a crazy price to me.
All it takes is at least two people who really want something and are willing to pay..............

Again I ask the question, at these sorts of prices there must be a demand for this type of airgun.

With the resurgence of the new western airguns of all types, coming out to the market recently, why isn't this one being reintroduced?

Not sure it is for this type of gun. I think it is for the old originals.
The fact they were unpopular when new and resulting low production and survival rates drive the price for collectors.
That may not translate to selling tens of thousands of a new version.

Just look at all the types of western guns that have now been copied as airguns in the past few years. The list includes:
  • Colt Peacemaker. Umarex sells more than 15 different varieties of is gun. In different finishes, BB & pellet, color and barrel lengths.
  • Remington 1875. Now sold by Crosman
  • Smith & Wesson No.3 Schofield. Bear River (Barra) has two versions for sale and will soon be selling two more different types of this pistol.
  • Winchester 1894. Umarex now has two different models, each with multiple versions for sale.
  • Winchester 1866. Barra is now selling a pumper BB/Pellet version of the Winchester 1866 Yellow Boy.

As well, I hear Barra will be introducing a whole line of western airguns to complement the Winchester 1866 & Schofield. Their next one will be a copy of Remington 1858 revolver? Or maybe a Confederate copy of a Colt, because of all of the brass. It looks like it will operate as a sort of CO2 version of the Daisy 179. See their video from Shot Show;

They (Barra) says the 1866 Rifle was one of the top selling airguns on Amazon in the last few months of 2019.

So, I can't see how a modern version of a double barrel coach gun would not be a big seller. There have already been a number of them introduced in airsoft.

They must have been shill bidders or a non-payer?
Thanks for the update.
