Ignoring the price for a minute, these are some of the least often seen Daisy 880-type pump guns. The one listed as an 880 is actually an 882. It sports a Williams peep sight and was used along with a few other Daisys in the Shooting Education Program of the mid-1970s. One thing all these guns have in common is they're all rifled.

I just bought these. I could use more info if anyone could help me. The 881 has a blue receiver that matches the barrel shroud. Is that original or did someone modify it? The 880 has a Ted Williams butt plate. Is that original or modified? The 822 has “Powerline” as the Company name instead of Daisy on the barrel shroud. Is that original or is someone stamping barrel shrouds they made? If I can figure out how to post pictures I will put them up for everyone to see.

If you could post the REG. and/or LOT NO.s from them, I will date them for you. All I need are the first two letters/numbers, except for the 822. For it, the date is usually the first 4 numbers.

Nothing unusual with the 881's finish color, so no worries.

The Ted Williams buttplate is found on Sears guns. Non removable buttplates were the oldest, later they were screwed on. Sears Ted Williams Daisy 880s are stamped as a Ted Williams with a Sears model number (799-190xxx). If it isn't, there's a chance a different stock was put on a Daisy 880.

The 822 is stamped POWERLINE 822, so no worries there.
