Hi segata,I also live in the UK and shoot/collect daisy long guns mostly vintage but some newer ones and have the same problems as you regarding parts.is it not worth you buying a red rider new they cost next to nothing are readelly available and just strip it for the parts much cheaper than buying and shiping the parts ?.

Is the Daisy Buck (105b) available over there ?
In the U.S. they are cheaper than the Red Ryder, and all internal parts except the shot tube interchange, and most current ones come with a fiber-optic sight. |

I've not seen Bucks for sale but seems Daisys have a bit of a premium over what the US pays (same with quite a few things sadly) so may not be as cheap as importing just the parts.
I already have the Red Ryder, it was a Birthday gift but I might look into other used Daisys later dependant on how the hobby takes me. I'm in the process of sorting the parts now and they are on their way to their first stop and then hopefully on their way here, I just need to make up the tools now to change the parts over and see if I can get the lone of a Gun Vice to make my life a little easier. |
