Mine does have a short trigger spring between the trigger and the flat metal piece behind the trigger that holds the lever in place when the lever is in its resting position.
The Little Daisy is braded together and does not have screws to take it apart so I am just looking up into the mechanism.  The spring I am looking at is visible from the side without looking directly up into the mechanism.  It is a small diameter and short.
I can probably measure the compressed length however, it is short to fit in between the trigger and the metal retainer for the lever.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for looking at yours.  i suspected there was a spring.  will post a pic tomorrow.  do you think I have all the other parts?  can not figure how this would work with the parts I have,
will post more tomorrow.

From the photos I think you have all the parts.
The little spring between the trigger and the little flat plate also works the latch to hold the plunger when it is fully cocked. The latching mechanism pivots to the broken piece you show in the photos. It holds it until the trigger is pulled.
If I can help further just let me know.

I think the only missing thing is the little coil spring.
The missing spring is about the size of a ball point pen spring only shorter and bigger coils to make it stronger.
You should be able to get something to get it back working.
You should be able to weld the little piece back.
I would suggest TIG welding it as that will put less heat into the metal around the weld weakening the metal around the weld.
A second suggestion would be to fab a new plunger bar.
Good Luck and have fun with it.
That is what the Daisy's are all about, FUN

Thanks rick.  I positioned the stock and trigger on top of receiver , aligned with the rivet holes..
so this is somewhat how the parts line up.

I think this is the placement of the trigger spring you refer to.  Is this correct?

Also..  is the plunger installed (with the part I show broken) pointing down from the top of receiver??
thanks again ,
Rick

Rick, your spring position is correct. Yes..the L on the plunger should be pointing down. The hook on the end of the lever hooks behind it to cock the gun.

Ditto Mark on all points.  Thankyou all for your inputs, information, and suggestions. Do not know of anywhere better one could go to get help on a 100+ year old Daisy gun.   !!!
Replacing the spring should be pretty easy, but figuring out repair on plunger bar seems tuff.
Can't do anything at the moment physically but will tackle this at a later date.  lSurgery on 25th/

Rick, were you able to make a good repair on the plunger?
