Nothing "recent" that I have matches up- either too long or too short on both the overall shot tube length and the hole/hole plug location. So sounds like it's unique to that type BB gun.

It being twisted- as long as it has not opened up the seam- probably won't make too much difference. It does look almost factory but I still think it was twisted by a heavy-handed previous owner. If this is going to just be occasionally shot, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

FWIW I do see shot tubes like yours (minus the twist) on eBay. This one looks too long for your gun, but point is they're still around: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-Early-Vintage-BB-Gun-Rifle-Shot-Tube-Possibly-A-Daisy-Part/152942461658?hash=item239c14c2da:g:O54AAOSwx5laps7a

Also, the MV/energy seems pretty good, being as you're using steel shot in a lead shot tube, plus the twist and hole.

I told a look at my Daisy Model 27, 500 shot reverse cocking shot tube, and it is 9 3/16" long and the seam is straight.

Thanks Hunter. That sounds like a good one to compare. I'm so glad it still functions.

Unless it's been converted you have leather seals, have you given it a drink of 30w ND oil/Pellgunoil?

Oh yes! plenty fun. Accuracy suffers a bit but when I wear it I'm Steve McQueen.....minus the talent, good looks, etc.
