Great pictures. Don't see very many with the white stocks. Never seen a white canteen before.
Did Daisy make the cap gun too?

Yup Cobalt, That's the one. I know what makes the "ricochet" sound but have no clue about the smoke.

The sound comes from a serrated wheel in the forearm rubbing on a wire that echo's in the "barrel".

The smoke would have probably been made with a bit of oil dieseling. Likely caused by friction in there somewhere. Does not take that much heat to make oil burn (create some smoke).

If Daisy didn't make it then Marx did an excellent job on creating the same rifle !

Yes, that would be a major investment to copy a Daisy for just one gun.

Not to mention the ensuing litigation.

I'm betting Daisy cut a deal with Marx.

While surfing I came across an interesting site for Daisy toy guns. http://www.nicholscapguns.com/daisy.htm

I have a Daisy/Nichols cap pistol myself, would love to give it a new home. I have $60 in it. It does have several of the 2 piece bullets it uses and is in very good condition.

That is a very cool toy Daisy. I've never seen one.
