I just picked up a Model 102. The engraving says:
DAISY-HEDDON
Division VICTOR
Comptometer Corporation

REG. NO. L279287

It may be from 1974 due to the personal inscription on the stock. No phillips screws and it has a metal cocking lever with a white plastic insert. Any ideas on the rarity of this piece?

I can't offer anything on the rarity. The date could be right, my notes say Victor Comptometer Corporation bought into Daisy about 1968 until 1977 when Daisy was sold to Kidde. Inc.

Cant be a 1974 gun as the number following the letter L would be a 4. It may well be a gun made in Dec. of 1972.

I believe the reg no was added after my post. In any event, given the info I would say '72 as well.

Great info. I'm pretty sure the $12 I spent on this one is worth it. Too bad the stock was cut and violated with a wood-burner. Maybe it adds character. LOL
