Another question, if I may. Obviously, the rear end is held by the top stock screw, but how is the scope mount attached at the front end (circled area)?

It looks like it is forked around the rear sight/spring retainer.

Instructions for scope installation and parts list from manual.
I think Russ is correct for the mount...  I have the scope but not the mount bracket . Maybe somebody with this model can chime in and verify how it’s installed..

Yeah that's a neat scope mount for sure it doesn't look like it would be to be too complicated to make that yourself... as far as the terminology goes I think I've also seen the frame called the sleeve?

On my scoped toy guns the front is forked around the rear sight/spring retainer and the back is retained by the top stock screw.
