tootsie Roll? do you shoot shotguns willie? (maybe in the service?)

havent heard taht erm for a while.....

the black is probably the plastic, which I think you noted down lower. blending 2 colors like that is an easy way to get "visual interest", of "suggesting" a figured wood.

Now that you've seen it, you  will see it  in other places too.....

No, I dont have a 25.

Dan, what in the world is that awesome looking animal you have pictured there?

Yep, shotguns were indispensable; even had a bayonet lug on 'em.  The M1905 bayonet was really too long to be comfortable with but they could be and were cut down to a more manageable 7; the M8 scabbard was used to house them.

And thank you for confirming my guess about the coloration being part of the molding process.

Taht awesome looking beast?

The Spetznas.....

Started life as a BAM B3 ak lookalike (check here: http://bestairgun.stores.yahoo.net/xsb31airgun.html )

Then cut the barrel down to 8 inches or so, shrouded it, added an AR15 ergo grip, made a better foregrup (then, after shooting it some, found out I dont hold it there...), trigger smooth, smooth/ lube tune, and later had to sleeve the transfer port. Recently had to replace the scope rings.

Strill ringing it out, but its kinda my singature piece.... hence the line under the pic..... :)
