been looking for a FAQ to try to date/value a model 25 that was my father's.
It has the engraving with a little bit of gold left in it. it is engraved with 5 patent numbers, and DAISY No 25, DAISY MFG. CO Company Plymouth Mich USA. The stock and pump are wood. The stock has some grooves on the butt. The pump has 6 grooves and the rod it rides on is screwed to a base that is welded to the barrel. The front sight is also welded to the barrel. The gun "appears" to work in that I can cock it and it fires when the trigger is pulled. I do not have the magazine, or the screw or whatever was used to hold the barrel to the receiver, (there was a big screw with a gold colored knob holding it together but I'm not sure if that is the correct part) and the rear sight is gone. The tabs that hold the rear sight are there though. Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain these missing parts. Would it be cost effective to obtain these parts? Don't want to spend more money on parts than the rifle is worth if you know what I mean. And, I think I might have the sight laying around the house somewhere...I know I have a rear sight with no gun attached to it. Does anyone have any pics of the pieces I'm missing so I can try to hunt them down? |

The shot tube alone will run you about $50. The gun does have some value, especially if it's in good condition and when it is complete. Check auction sites like auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com for parts and to see what your gun is worth. Dustin |

Hi It sounds like you have the 1936 model 25.The screw that holds it altogether is called a take down screw.Yours does not sound correct. The tube that goes in the barrel is called a shot tube.Is the rear sight broken off as they are welded on.These parts can be found on ebay, gunbrokers, auctionarms and www.bbairguns.com. you can go to www.bbairguns.com they have info and alot of pictures there on the model 25s.You can contact www.bryanandac.com for parts and repairs, they will treat you good.I have seen the shot tubes on ebay from 20-50 bucks.Look around alot before you buy to get the best prices.Alot of the 25 parts will fit each other. Stevec
