i have a mod 1000 i want to replace old plunger and air tube to get a little more bang out of it. any successtions would be appriciated. i have did it on 111- 40,  102-36, but know nothing about the mod 1000 take down procedure to do this. thanks for any help.

If I'm not mistaken it should be the same as the Daisy model 95.

The model 1000 uses a smaller seal set than the 95 and most other wide frame Daisys. JG Airguns has the piston, it's supposedly the same size as the 1894, but they do not show an abutment seal for it- so I don't know if the 1894 abut. seal will work or not, so you might want to ask them if you get a piston from them.

Thanks, Mark. I'll keep this in mind when I do a tear down.

thanks cobalt, good to know, is there a reason theirs little info on the modle 1000. i know it was made for western auto,  1957/58 right

Yes, it was made exclusively for Western Auto. According to Joe Murfin it was sold from "1965 until the late 1980s". I really can't say why they aren't mentioned more often. It could be that the 1000 cost more than other similar Daisys like the 95- but that's only a guess.

which spring,seals and air tube would it take to increase the speed on the modle 1000 western auto, the # on it is c566807 made in rogers , ark  thanks for help

would like to increase power  on mod 1000 western auto, what combo of spring , seals, air tube could be used to do this with out damaging gun

You can shim the stock spring and drill the air tube to 3/32" ID to get a boost. Regular drill bits usually aren't long enough so you'll want to find a 6 inch long "aircraft extension" drill bit Or, if you don't mind spending the money you can go all out and install a high performance spring with a 7/64" ID air tube. If you want to go that route, email me for details and I'll go over the various options with you. My email address is on my profile page.

For seals, JG Airguns has the piston for it but they don't advertise a barrel seal. The piston is supposedly the same as the one used in the model 1894, so maybe the 1894 barrel seal will also work- but I would ask before ordering.
