I'm fairly new here so was surprised to see that price was "dropped" to $6,500. Has any Daisy ever been sold for this much money. I'm not complaining, just wondering.

Riley, Many antique bb guns sell for much more. Its all about rarity and condition. Do a Google search and see if you can find another 2nd Model Daisy for sale. Its hard to even find a past sale of one. When I was a beginning collector, I was also surprised at some of the prices. To someone needing a 2nd model to complete their collection of early Daisy cast iron bb guns, $6500.00 is a actually a very fair price for one in this condition.
