When I was younger one Christmas I got a BB gun. I really don't know who made it, so I was hoping for some help. It was an ar15/m16 BB gun. Like I said, I don't remember who made it and every search I try doing gives me results for air soft guns. It really wasn't that it was a great shooting rifle but it sort of steered me to the Army, where, with my first time to qualify with the real thing I shot 39 out of 40 pop up targets for an expert marksmanship badge.

I'm pretty sure your talking about the "Crosman AIR-17". It looks just like the early M16's. If your looking to buy one check auction sites like gunbroker.com or auctionarms.com
I bought mine a year or two ago for about $35.

Hey, Thanks a lot. That's exactly what I was talking about. Thanks also for the leads as to where I might find one.

take your time and look around - don't buy the first one you see. Check  AA  and  GunBroker

these models seem to rust down the barrel.  actually they are kinda hard to find still blue down the length of the barrel.
These are also are 1 cock pnuematics (sp?) (I THINK) and the condition of the pump is paramount.
some are missing the mag and flash suppressor , and i think it needs clips too, it you want to shoot pellets -which are more accurate so, the condition of the barrel is important.

I've popped a few blackbirds with mine -  I hope your memories are as good !

Yea I was lucky enough to get one with a mint barrel, and it has the flash hider, the mag, and the pellet clip too. The pellet clip isnt that important as I seen them new for sale at a local sporting goods store.
It is a 1 pump gun, doesnt have a lot of power but it will pop a can.
