What is the length of an oem Red Ryder spring I restored a Model 25 put one of the new model 25 Springs and new seals and a 7/64 air tube in it but it still doesn't have a whole lot of power I mean it's stronger than it was but it's still not like I'd like it to be so I was thinking maybe of using a Red Rider spring anybody let me know I'm figuring must be about 8 in cuz the model 25 Spring is 7 in if anybody knows please let me know old George

George, a spring from a model 25 made in 2016 is 5.85" long and is made from 0.087" diameter wire.

Current model 1938B Red Ryder spring is 7" long and is made from 0.091" wire.

I once tried to use a new 1938B spring in that same 2016 model 25, but it wouldn't work for me. I hope you have better luck!

Mark

It's a shame the Red Ryder spring won't just drop into the 25 and work. It sure would make things easier for us!
