Hmmm. The description says sights are adjustable for windage and elevation.   Misprint?

I ain't buying it. I got excited in 2019 when the model 1999 came out- there was  https://www.nrafamily.org/articles/2019/8/1/first-impressions-daisys-new-1999-bb-gun/" rel="nofollow - AD COPY  that said "the rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation". But as we all know, it's the same as a 1938B Red Ryder with elevation only.

It is beyond me why they cannot understand the need for windage adjustment. They already have the parts, just use the blade and screw from the 880 like on my 1938B below.

Very clever Mark. Does it work well?

Hey Mark, I'm sure that would add noticeable cost to the gun and maybe not justified for one of their lowest performing guns.
I think they should pay more attention to their ad copy. Your upgrade is neato though.

Nothing against Tommy Cook and I'm glad he autographed these guns, but it would've been cool if Daisy also could have gotten Robert Blake to autograph a few hundred or so Red Ryders before his passing in March of this year.Robert used to have a big toy cowboy and BB gun collection. He collected them all in his adult life as his parents wouldn't let him have any BB guns when he was playing Little Beaver in Republic Pictures Red Ryder series.I think Robert would've had a soft spot in his heart if Daisy would've approached him about autographing some guns.

Hmmm. Robert Blake might have been a bit too controversial for Daisy to consider. I'm sure if they wanted to pursue it, his estate could be approached for images, etc.

It works good, but it takes a tool to adjust. So it could be better.

Very cool marks I'd like to see them better picture of it trying to build one myself.
