The No. 102 Model 36 was first made in 1936. They were blued steel until 1953. They were painted in Plymouth Michigan from 1953 until 1958,  From 1958 until 1970 the No.102 Model 36's were painted in Rogers Arkansas.  From 1970 to 1978 they were just marked Model 102. In 1979 they Model was changed to Model 105.

I have seen some that were nickel plated.

All of the nickled ones I have seen had cast iron levers indicating they were made before, or a few right after, WWII.
