MODEL 99 SERVICE MANUAL- similar to your gun, regarding removing and replacing the internal partshttps://www.tapatalk.com/groups/grantthekiwisairgunforum/dave-albert-daisy-resource-t3831-s30.html#p9495

These are some videos you may find useful.

Shane at Rest-O-Mod Daisy has done a lot of videos on all aspects of Daisy BB guns. Most are brief, but full of info.

Sad my version was not there that I had posted on here with help of others. It was so much fun in the early days of this site. Still have the best main spring retainer made from a caulking gun. Anyone remember that LOL

The forum search feature leaves a lot to be desired, but I did manage to find several posts on disassembly that were basically the same, but no photos or videos with them. They're from around 15 years ago so it's not surprising there are no videos. If you have a link to something different, do post it to help Gib. http://forum.daisymuseum.com/repairing-red-ryder_topic1628_post5429.html#5429

Here's what I use for plunger work, I like the split washer system and the fact that it doesn't allow the spring to try and pop through the opening when compressed.  Easy to remove when finished.

Mine uses a Camaro A-arm alignment shim, it's the right width to catch the spring while allowing the plunger tube to pass through. My tool had a poker to pierce the plastic membrane inside the caulk tube so I bent it 90 degrees to use as a rest, the rear is held steady by an old plastic storage container I robbed out of the kitchen.
