Hi Tbird,

Do you think that putting about 30 or 40 drops of 30 wt non-detergent oil will do the same thing? I have done that twice and tomorrow I will try it again.

If that doesen't work, I will dismantle everything and soak the seals overnight as you suggest.

I really appreciate your continued interest and I will keep you posted every step of the way.

Regards, gkenny.

Your problem with the Model 111 reminded me of something that I had happen with a old model 25.  I had soaked the leather seals in oil and then replaced them, but the gun only fired in the soft to median range.  I removed the shot tube and looked down the barrel with a flashlight to see if the barrel seal was moving when the gun was cocked.  I think I saw some movement, so I cut a larger barrel seal and soaked it in oil and installed it.  When I shot it, I didn't notice much of an improvement.  So I put it up wondering what to try next.  After it had set for a few weeks, I tried it again and to my suppress, it shot really strong.

They're pretty easy to disassemble, all you need is a spring tool to remove the mainspring and re-install it. I cut a notch out of a flat tip screwdriver and polished it and it works great. I have found on occasion some times, the air tube is cracked, and leaking air. Over the years someone probably got in a hurry, and jammed the shot tube in.
