Good morning has anyone tried to shorten a shot tube the old style shot tube bottle cap if so please let me know the reason I ask is I have a 105 buck with a bad barrel and I want to shorten the barrel just enough and then I need to shorten the shot tube so if someone's done that please let me know thank you very much have a blessed day oldGeorge

Hi there George. Yes, I have shortened the bottle cap style shot tube.
First, I cut the tube to the desired overall length. Next, I drilled out the piece of shot tube from the bottle cap. Finally, I silver soldered the bottle cap onto the shot tube. Just be sure not to oversize the hole in the bottle cap and keep it as straight as possible when resoldering. You may need to make a jig to line things up. Good luck and blessings to you. Russ. |
