    Posted: September-21-2023 at 10:04am
I'm about to do upgrades to my 1938B after some very kind people including Cobalt helped me get the parts to the UK, I just need to get the tools made and also had another idea after watching a RestomodDaisy video of a Sliding spring block, I have tried contacting Sean but I'm gueessing my emails either don't make it or he's busy and it would help with the pain in my knuckles by putting the strain on the closing stroke instead.

Would anyone have a drawn plan of the tools I need to make to change the spring and tube and possibly to get the Sliding spring block made?

My Dad's an engineer and I've asked him about making me the block already which he's said he can do, he just needs a plan of it.

Thanks in Advance.

I can't buy them, ebay.com has a fit if you try and use a UK account to buy most things Airgun related, even when you use a US address.

I'm happy enough to make my own, just need to make sure I get the sizes right as most Uk materials are sold in Metric but everything in a Daisy will likely be Imperial.

Try this post that cobalt posted on spring removal tool.

If you are referring to my post here and you went to the specified thread, there were pictures and information for making your own spring removal tool. Don’t know if you saw that?
As far as eBay preventing you in the UK from buying air gun parts, etc. I am in the same boat and I live in the United States. It may not be a problem with the UK but as far as eBay is concerned, they won’t allow the sale. In the US there’s at least, 20% of the United States that will be blocked by eBay from buying anything that is being sold in the air gun category. The trick is to have the seller list the item in let’s say ,the toy category, or something other than air gun category then your purchase would probably go through no problem.   eBay doesn’t look at the item that you’re buying but only what category is being sold from. So a tool listed in the air gun category as far as eBay is concerned, will be blocked to any area that restricts air guns. Which is my problem where I live. Even if I’m just buying a screw listed in the air gun category they won’t let me buy it.
Hope that helps.

My apologies, I only saw the sale link, it's odd as I can legally buy through ebay a Catapult that has more killing power than a Daisy but it freaked out when I tried to order even just a Fibre Optic sight to the guy helping me out in the states, I couldn't even enter the address which was in a legal state.
Another thing I noticed is I can order Ammo no problem, anything non FAC that I liked (FAC is our license for fire arms but also covers Air Rifles over the 12ftlb limit, Pistols have a lower one of 6 but past that are outright banned), targets, servicing kit etc, but try and get a part for even a super weak BB gun, no dice.

Check the post by FREEBIRD. I made 1 using very similar directions and materials .
3/4 inch ID water pipe with the center cut out. I believe the 2 tabs to compress the spring are about 1. 25 inches long. Very easy build and works good. Used it on my 1938B build.

Jackdog has the ebay dilemma right- if anything- even a BB gun front sight, say- is listed in the "Air Rifles" category: Sporting Goods>Outdoor Sports>Air Guns & Slingshots>Air Rifles, the sale will not go through to addresses in the areas that are banned. But if the same part is listed in other categories like shown below, the sale will go through.

Thanks all, rules and regs are a daft one, when the parts were sent here they were fully declared as what they were and Customs didn't bat an eyelid so ebay are a bit ott for here perhaps.

I'll send you an email Russ with my forum name as the subjest.
