Yeah, My Zorro pop rifle made by Daisy is a little rough but it is all there and complete. The Daisy toys and pop guns and rifles to me are very interesting. One off the wall item I still have is a Daisy wooden shipping box for I think the NO 30 bb gun. Thing about this box is I also have the top to it with the nails  lol. Most of the time they are missing

I have about 8 pop guns. Some are not gems. Most of the ones I've come across were so "used" that I bought them for parts. Haha

I looked through my pop gun photos and for what it's worth, I couldn't find a 938 with plastic stocks either, so they must be scarcer than wood.

Butch, thank you for adding that information to this thread. Good to know that information about the staple and that It had leather on the ring.

Thanks fellas. This Is a 938. I have rings and plastic staples. All modern Red Ryders with anti beartrap use them. Also, the furniture is wood and riveted so I believe it's original. I'm going to install a new one.

Rick, you are right about the plastic staple. Matter of fact I think they were also used on some of the later Red Ryders. You might be able to still get them from Daisy

Thinking about this gun. Haven’t had one of these for a very long time, but if my memory serves me correctly, which, I doubt at this stage in my life, the staple was actually a plastic staple that snapped into those rectangular holes, and hence was very subject to being broken off or popping out. But I’m not 100% sure about that to be honest. Maybe somebody who has one with a saddle ring in tact can verify that.
