Seller didn't get any interest at $2,499, so now he has lowered it to $2,299.

I would think that if it sells, it would be in the $900-1,200 price range.

If it is a fishing expedition, they must be fishing for whales.

Model 21 prices have hit a new high & I am absolutely baffled. I have two and paid roughly a third what this one sold for; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-daisy-model-21-double-barrel-bb-gun-excellent-with-original-print-ad/303343567271 This gun is nice but lacks several features I looked for like the preservation of the gold inlay...this gun has none.

I also heard that a model 21's box is as rare as hens teeth. I guess this is true when you factor in what that other seller has set his price at. It'll be interesting to see if he/she gets anywhere near that price.

Favorite guns; Daisy's, Benji's & Sheridan's

Wow.  Fishing indeed.  Perhaps he will land a big un'.  It never hurts to ask.

Good example , I bought and love my two Beeman over under .177 break barrels and many have stated that they make no sense , and for then money they are very nice , just think that you have to try out some guns first hand and not overblog yourself to death , if you hate it ...someone else will enjoy it .

Gentlemen, there are all types of people and collectors.  Some are "purists" who insist on absolute adherence to traditional styles and originality.  They want the old, original guns that are as pristine as possible and hopefully have all the accoutrements likes boxes, pamphlets etc that came with them.  Then you may have the collectors that want the latest and greatest that they can get their hands on.  You also have those that want to modify their guns to look different, shoot harder or whatever floats their boat.  Some buy the guns only to display and never shoot them.  Others want to use theirs every chance they get.  The take away is there is no right or wrong with any of the above.  We all can agree that a particular gun is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.  Some have more disposable income than others and that's ok.  At the end of the day, it is just whatever makes you happy and the joy one receives from this wonderful hobby.  Have a Great Day!
