Is there anyone who knows when the change in colors happened?

I am not sure that there was a hard date of a paint color change. During the 60's Daisy fooled around with at least 1/2 a dozen colors from black to bronze.

OK, Here is what I found in my collection

1964            Daisy 103 Blue
1968 - 1972 Daisy 410 Blue
1968 - 1972 Daisy 572 Blue
1972            Daisy1938 Blue
1978            Daisy 840 Black

I think it depends on what gun you are talking about. And , possibly what paint Daisy got a good deal on. I have a D 94 that I know was made in the early 50's and it is definitely black.

Remember the almost bright blue ones? I know they used it on some of the 107's.
