My 1972
Daisy Model 1000 has a short butt stock like the Model 95. I was
wondering if someone might have
a long stock like fits on the 88, 99 or 299? I know I will need to drill the trigger spring slot. I would prefer one with
the older darker finish and no embedded emblem on the side. But I will
take what I can get. There's a very clean Model 99 stock on J.G., but
it would be around $40 with shipping. ![]() |

My thoughts tell me that $40 including shipping might not be a bad price.
But just for grins and giggles, here's a little option I've been kicking around but haven't tried yet. As we all know the wide frame guns are much wider than the Red Ryder ilk. So, take a Red Ryder stock, pad out the front 3 or 4 inches on each side where the mounting screws go, refinish to taste and use a curved cocking lever. Too unorthodox you say? Well..... ![]() |

I have a stock off a 88 or a 99 I am not sure.
It’s finish is dark but peeling so it would need a refinish. It measures 11 1/2 inches from the rear side mounting screw to the stock butt. There is not a trigger screw hole either. It does have a screw hole for a sling mount. It is in my parts drawer so $5 plus shipping and can be yours. Rick Cates Canyon TX |

I do not have a PayPal account anymore.
I will see what kind of a box I can get it in tomorrow. Maybe a flat rate box I will just let you know in the next day or two. We have been at the hospital all day today with a brother in law. Should be able to do some things tomorrow. I will need an address to send it to. Thanks Rick

I got the longer stock today from Rick Cates. It's just what I needed. ![]() As Rick described, this is an early Model 99 stock without the hole drilled for the trigger spring. ![]() Drilling one was no big deal. Using the short stock from the Model 1000 as an example, the hole is perpendicular to the front end of the stock. ![]() I measured the diameter as 15/64" and the depth as 3/8". The place where the hole goes was tapered on the Model 99 stock, so I moved it up about 3/16" so the lower side would be thick enough. And it works great when test-firing on the Model 1000. ![]() Thanks again to Rick for this vintage longer butt stock. I will be refinishing it soon and will do a more thorough description of the Model 1000 rebuild in its on thread. ![]() |
